Sleeping Beauty: Storytelling Workshops

Created at Waddesdon Manor

Discover the story of Sleeping Beauty through the 7 wonderful paintings of the fairytale by Leon Bakst. Watch as the workshop leaders bring the paintings alive with the class trough drama and role play. The whole day workshop takes in a variety of aspects of the manor and its treasures as well as the stunning grounds to provide the perfect content to continue the creation of fairytale stories on your return to the classroom.

Vive La France: French Workshops for Primary Classes

Created as The Bowes Museum, also available at The Wallace Collection and The Holburne Museum of Art.

A French language workshop inspired by art and drama through which pupils have the opportunity to learn and develop French vocabulary and simple phrases. Pupils engage with a costumed actress to develop language skills and learn about French culture and history through the inspirational French collections.

Storytelling: Primary School Literacy and Art Session

Available at all 5 museums

Workshops developed to enable pupils to explore the collections and to use them to inspire their own creative writing and artwork.
